Steam Bath treatment

The mud therapy is a therapeutic practice through which mud as well as steam is applied.

The mud therapy is highly indicated in rheumatic diseases, mostly in the treatment of osteoarthritis in its most common forms: osteoarthritis of the hand, foot, knee, hip, and spine. Another condition typically treated with mud is gout. 

Good results were also obtained in the treatment of orthopedic disorders such as sprains, muscle strains or joint sprains.
The mud therapy session consists of four distinct phases: the mud, bathing, sweating and massage.

The treatment is divided into four different parts:

- Applying the mud for about 20 minutes at a temperature of about 36 °C, thus fueling the body temperature and sweating with the acceleration of certain metabolic processes.

- Removal of the mud: the person is washed with lukewarm water.
- Relaxation: let the person relax deeply for about 20 minutes.
- Massage: a relaxing massage is performed.
